Corropoli and Civitella del Tronto

The historic centre of Corropoli boasts a medieval square called Piè di Corte, famous for its characteristic fountain. A few kilometres from the centre, we recommend the Badia di Santa Maria di Mejulano, dating back to the year one thousand.

Civitella del Tronto is famous for its Fortress, which belonged to the Bourbons. The historical centre of the city is characterised by stately homes, monuments and buildings of historical interest from the medieval and Renaissance periods.

Campli, Atri and San Gabriele

Campli is known for its necropolis dating back to the Iron Age. Interesting and not to be missed are the churches of San Nicola and San Francesco and the Balascio fortress built around the year 1000.

In Piazza Duomo, at Atri, stand the striking Cathedral of the Assumption, the Baroque Church of Santa Reparata and the 16th-century Seminary.  

In Gran Sasso Islands stands the shrine of San Gabriele, patron saint of Abruzzo. An older part of the building is in neoclassical style and dates back to 1908, the more recent part has a contemporary style

Wine Cities

A short distance from Alba Adriatica is one of the wine routes. Follow the food and wine route, surrounded by green views and breathtaking panoramas. 

Taste local products such as Abruzzi's Trebbiano, Cerasuolo and Montepulciano wines accompanied by fresh cheeses and local cured meats. 

Gran Sasso National Park

If you love hiking or organising excursions in nature, you will be enchanted by the great Gran Sasso National Park e Laga Mountains.

The dense green vegetation hides characteristic animals such as the Abruzzo chamois, deer, roe deer, wolf, wild cat, beech marten and golden eagle.
